Once I made my choice, I was impressed by the generous portions. The ice cream was rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. It's evident that the ingredients used are of top-notch quality, creating a truly mouthwatering experience.
The ambiance of the location is enchanting. With ample outdoor seating and a picturesque view, enjoying my ice cream under the open sky was a joy. It's an ideal spot to relax with friends and family while savoring your sweet treat.
One standout feature was the attentive and cheerful staff. They were more than happy to guide me through the menu and share their personal favorites, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that added to the overall enjoyment.

In a nutshell, Kimball Farm Ice Cream in Carlisle, Boston is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking premium ice cream in a charming setting. With its wide array of flavors, high-quality ingredients, and inviting atmosphere, it's a sweet escape that's bound to put a smile on your face.
Cute little place and sooooo much better than the main Kimball. Lines are usually pretty short, staff is very friendly. Selection is the same as the main Kimball. Parking is limited and seating is limited too. Bugs can be am issue at night, so you might want to just sit in your car anyway. All seating is outdoors and some tables have an umbrella. The place is pretty clean. Ice cream is very good and a large selection.
This is the only ice cream place that I've been to that does not allow 2 flavors in the kiddie size. They have 4 sizes, and "kiddie" is the second smallest size, not the smallest. Additionally, anyone who wants to visit here needs the skill to dodge the bees. We wanted to sit on their benches to spend the afternoon since the weather was nice, but we ended up rushing into our cars right after getting our ice cream. Bummer.
The best ice cream anywhere! Huge selection of flavors, extremely generous portions. They overfill the quarts and pints. Plenty of parking and space to stay physically distant while waiting or enjoying your ice cream outside.
[+] LOCATION is pretty good, if you enjoy driving or cycling the windy roads in the area. Parking is plentiful and the nearby farm provides for nice views with overwhelming with smells.
[+] FLAVORS are plentiful, almost to the point of causing choice anxiety between different combinations of peanut butter, chocolate, and cookie. They offer soft serve, sugar-free, and vegan flavors as well, which are worth trying if that’s your thing. The pink ice cream is vegan raspberry chocolate chip. Quite good.
[–] SIZES run large. If you like large portions, this is your place, but if a large amount of ice cream for a kid is going to become a mess, then you may want to negotiate at the window, or split one order between people. The photo with sprinkles is a “mini”, emergency-dumped into a cup.
[–] (OTHER) Perhaps not the store’s fault, but we had trouble with bees. Once the ice cream starts melting and/dripping it attracts bees, which caused everyone in our family to be speedwalking and swatting constantly for 10-20 minutes. Kind of unpleasant.
Not open through October 9th! I was told the last time I was here they would be open through Columbus Day, they were not, on their website it also said the same thing so we tried the Westford location, it was closed as well, it was so disappointing (and a waste of time). This is one of many times I’ve been disappointed this year by Kimballs. Their service continues to be terrible, so slow (I worked at an ice cream shop for 10 years growing up so I know how efficient it can be). Many times you will come to Kimballs and workers will be standing around while one person works on the window, which make no sense. It’s too bad their icecream is so good or I wouldn’t go back, my husband refuses but I keep hoping it’ll get better.
